Best paper award

To celebrate and support talented early career scholars from all disciplines in arctic studies, we have initiated the FAKS (Forum for Arctic Cultural and Social Research) Best Paper Award, which will be awarded to a paper submitted to the GREENLAND – DENMARK 1721-2021 conference.
The Best Paper Award is presented by the Forum for Arctic Cultural and Social Research to an outstanding paper presented by a scholar in the early stages of his/her career. The recipient must be at the post-graduate level, in a non-tenured position.
The recipient is awarded guaranteed publication of the successful paper in the well-established Arctic Yearbook and free attendance with paper presentation at Greenland Week of Science (Nuuk), 2021.
To be considered for Best Paper Award, the conference participant must nominate themselves by submitting their full text conference paper to the conference email no later than Friday, May 28th. A committee under FAKS will make the final assessment and decision. The winner of the Best Paper Award will be announced during the conference.
