TESTING AND INCLUSIVE SCHOOLING: INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
Prior to the project, PI Christian Ydesen wrote this book on Testing and Inclusive Schooling alongside Björn Hamre and Anne Morin. The book provides "a comparative perspective on seemingly incompatible global agendas and efforts to include all children in the general school system, thus reducing exclusion". The authors discuss the permation of both the testing and inclusion agendas currently having a strong foothold in international education policy. The books also critically reflects on the how these agendas contradict and support each other.
The book encompasses international contributions and perspectively highlights the range of different cases embedded in national and local contextsand how implementation of such reforms can lead to certain types of problems globally. "Testing and Inclusive Schooling" focus on new possibilities for global and local improvements within education and is recommended for all types of academic readers with a keen interest in international and comparative education, assessment technologies and practices, inclusion, educational psychology and educational policy.
