NEW PUBLICATION BY PI CHRISTIAN YDESEN: IMPLEMENTING INCLUSIVE EDUCATION POLICIES – THE CHALLENGES OF ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE IN A DANISH MUNICIPALITY
Alongside his former student, MA in Learning and Change Process Camilla Kold Andersen, Christian Ydesen recently published an article on the implementation of inclusive education. In 2012, legislative measures mandated that 96% of pupils in compulsory public education were to be enrolled in regular classes. Practitioners experienced this as a great challenge, and in spite of this, one municipality in Northern Jutland decided to raise their target to 97% of all students. Ydesen and Kold Andersen investigate the process and challenges of implementing and enacted this target from 2015 to 2019. By incorporating the political level, the civil servant level and the local school level the publication sheds light on local challenges of inclusive policies' implementation as an example of organizational change.
