New Associate Professor - Kaya Barry

Kaya Barry has joined the Department of Culture and Learning and Culture and Consumption Research Goup as an Associate Professor.

Assocoate Professor Kaya Barry from the CC-Culture and Consumption Research Group at the Department of Learning and PhilosophyKaya works in the areas of cultural geography, mobilities, tourism, migration, material cultures and creative arts practice.

Her research interests include: everyday and mundane tourist practices, multi-sensory encounters, aesthetics, border spaces, participatory methods, and the more-than-human.

Recent publications include: Weather: Spaces, Mobilities and Affects (2021, Eds. Barry, Borovnik & Edensor, Routledge), and Creative Measures of the Anthropocene: Art, Mobilities, and Participatory Geographies (2020, Barry & Keane, Palgrave).
