Please welcome our new internal matchmaker at the Department. His name is Ole Izard Høyer whose background is in the music programme and research, but he also has a long history of interdisciplinary work. Ole has, for instance, been an active member of the C-DiT research group for several years, and he has also taught several courses at SIV and LISE. In the coming years, Ole will be proactively engaged in the implementation of the strategy of closer cooperation with business and society, and we hope you’ll give him a warm welcome and help him realise this goal.
Ole introduces himself, his ideas and expectations below:
In my current position as assistant professor at CGS, I move between several different research environments, and therefore I have broad knowledge of the competences that we can offer society and the business community. Bridging the gap between the business community, society and the research environments at CGS is among my fields of expertise; therefore, I very much look forward to contributing to the development and establishment of new partnerships as the Department’s matchmaker.
As newly appointed CGS matchmaker, I look forward to further strengthening our relationship with society and the outside world by making it more interactive and integrated. This also applies to the relationship between research environments, which I believe to be a key factor in future. One of my future tasks is to promote the visibility of the competences and creativity we continuously develop through evaluation and research in our PBL practice at Aalborg University and CGS.
Under the slogan “Humanities and Social Sciences for the benefit of society”, I will seek to uncover the potentials of research based on strong academic values as a means to identify possible and necessary initiatives in society and the world. I am very interested in working on this particular task.
