Kristina will be researching sustainability and digital innovations in small Danish hotels together with Henrik Halkier and Laura James. This research extends her PhD project, which focuses on innovation in boutique hotels in Valletta, Malta, by focusing on two specific sub-types of innovation. The aim of this collaboration is to develop case studies for local Danish hotels to better understand 1) best practices in sustainability and digital innovation, and 2) barriers which may potentially inhibit innovation from occurring.
