Interdisciplinary Action Research and Learning is an interdisciplinary academic network for action research. The vision and the strategy for research collaborations are based on “solution-oriented and interdisciplinary research that makes a difference in society”.

Participants in the Interdisciplinary Action Research and Learning network come from the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Social Sciences at Aalborg University as well as from a number of local and regional educational and health institutions and organizations.

The network is part of the national Danish Action Research Network and the international Collaborative Action Research Network (CARN). It represents Aalborg University’s profile as a 'civic university', emphasizing integrated interaction between the university and the surrounding community.

The visions and strategies for research collaboration in the network are based on "solution-oriented and interdisciplinary research with an impact on society".
