Climate and green transition are themes that gradually occupy us all as citizens and humans. The environment is in crisis and constantly changing, which creates many different challenges worldwide. The climate is a global factor that intervenes in societies and human lives in different ways. This intervention leads to demands and expectations towards green transition that is adaptable to different circumstances. These phenomenons – climate and green transition – beckons for social science and its important contributions. We need to pose ethical, qualitative and value oriented questions to our lifestyles and habits.

The objective of the initiative, called “HUM Climate and Green Transition”, is to unify social scientists that work with these topics, while generating attention to the wide range of themes that the Institute for Culture and Learning engages in. Furthermore, the goal is to strengthen the institute’s research in the areas of climate, sustainability and green transition and pave the way for new partnerships and projects. Hopefully, this website will help to attain that goal.
